Paws & Claus 2002 Event Photos
APAC members enlisted Santa to help raise money for APAC charities on December 7, 2002 at Dr. Crews' office.  Business was steady all day from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Paws 'n' Claus photos set The Association for a Pet Adoption Center (APAC) will host a "Paws ‘n’ Claus" photo session 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at Animal Medical Care, 1604 W. Avenue H, Temple. Photographs of your pet with Santa Claus will cost $6 each.

Blessing of the Animals
The Association for a Pet Adoption Center (APAC) and Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church will sponsor a "Blessing of the Animals" service 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Temple Animal Shelter, 3015 Mama Dog Lane, Temple.

THROW IN THE TOWEL (September 19, 2002:) "Throw in the towel" and help the Association for a Pet Adoption Center (APAC) collect towels and blankets for distribution to the Temple Animal Shelter and to area rescue groups. Donations for this second annual event will be accepted 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at the APAC table located outside JCPenney at Fall Family Fair, Colonial Mall – Temple.

First Dog Days of Summer draws 500 (July 23, 2002): Dogs and humans alike celebrated the Dog Days of Summer, an Association for a Pet Adoption Center (APAC) event, July 20 at the Frank W. Mayborn Civic and Convention Center. With approximately 500 people in attendance, many with their canine companions, the Dog Day’s agenda was both serious and silly.

Pet Food Drive results in added food supply for Temple Shelter (May 6, 2002):
The Association for a Pet Adoption Center (APAC) sponsored a pet food drive and a meet ‘n greet for homeless animals Saturday, May 4, in the Temple Towne Center parking lot. Over 200 pounds of cat and dog food was collected for use at the City of Temple Animal Shelter.

APAC participates in Senior pet show (May 1, 2002):  The Temple Parks and Leisure Service Senior Fellowship Center held a pet show from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Sammons Park in Temple.

APAC TO SPONSOR PET FOOD DRIVE (April 29, 2002): The Association for a Pet Adoption Center (APAC) will sponsor a pet food drive 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at Petco, Temple Towne Center, 2112 SW H.K. Dodgen Loop, Temple. Dry cat or dog food will be collected for use at the City of Temple Animal Shelter.

Garage sales raise funds for APAC projects (March 20, 2002): The Association for a Pet Adoption Center (APAC) has held two successful garage sales this year, raising money for projects related to the new animal shelter/pet adoption center.

APAC Garage Sale Scheduled for March 16 The Association for a Pet Adoption Center (APAC) garage sale is scheduled 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at 3309 Buckeye, Temple. Items for sale will include clothes, household appliances, furniture, toys, tools, sports equipment, etc. 

Photos for Valentine's Day, 2002 (Feb. 1): Surprise your Valentine with a unique gift featuring you and your pet as the Association for a Pet Adoption Center (APAC) sponsors a Valentine photographic session 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, at Wireless and More, 1228 SW H.K. Dodgen Loop. Price per Valentine picture is $5 each. In addition to the photo session, adoptable animals will be on-site.
